 Barcelona were priced as favourites to win the Champions League, with the price reflecting the anticipated impact of the summer signing of striker, David Villa, who was so influential for Spain during their success in the 2010 World Cup. Should Cesc Fabregas also join the Catalans their price could contract further. Despite Real Madrid's recent poor performance in the competition - not progressing past the last sixteen in the previous six years - the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager is expected to bring improvement, given the 'Special One' has already won the competition with two other clubs. Real Madrid are the second favourites to win the Champions League.
